Privacy Policy
SYGO (“Sort Your Game Out,” “we,” “us”) runs a directory, leaderboard, and weekly email — SYGO Weekly — about golf creators on YouTube. This page explains, in plain English, what data we handle and why. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Your email address, and optionally your first name, when you sign up for SYGO Weekly. That’s the only personal information we ask you for.
- Basic, anonymous usage analytics — which pages are viewed and roughly how the site performs. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of you.
How we use it
Your email is used for one thing: to send you SYGO Weekly and the occasional message about it. When you sign up, your address is stored privately and also added to our email platform, beehiiv, which sends the newsletter on our behalf. We never sell, rent, or trade your email address.
Where it’s stored
Signups are kept in a private database (Supabase) that isn’t publicly readable, and in beehiiv. The site itself is hosted by Vercel. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms, linked above.
Unsubscribing
Every SYGO Weekly email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, handled by beehiiv — use it any time and we’ll stop emailing you. To have your address removed from our records entirely, email us at the address below and we’ll take care of it.
Creator data
The subscriber counts, growth figures, video listings, and links shown for creators are drawn from public sources — primarily the YouTube API and creators’ own public channel pages. This is public information about public channels, not personal data you’ve given us. If you’re a creator and would like your channel removed from the directory, just email us.
Children
SYGO isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
